Fixed Time Trading on Olymptrade

How Olymptrade Fixed Time trading works for Pakistani traders: five-second to one-month contracts, USD 1 trade sizes, and what to check first.

Written by Helen MarshRegulation & Compliance WriterUpdated

Fixed Time trading means you choose an outcome, set a contract duration, and the position closes automatically at the end of that time - no manual exit, no stop-loss juggling while the clock runs. On Olymptrade this mode is one of six the platform offers, and durations run from five seconds up to a month. This page explains how the mechanic actually behaves, what it costs, what is verified about the operator's legal standing, and where the edge of sensible risk sits for a trader in Pakistan.

Who Operates The Platform

Olymptrade states it is operated by Saledo Global LLC, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the broker states the laws of other jurisdictions do not apply to it. That structure tells you which rulebook governs the relationship.

Olymptrade states it is licensed and regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission. No SECP licence is claimed by the broker, and the SECP register itself is not verified at review. Offshore supervision, no claimed Pakistani authorisation, and no independent confirmation of the regulator's public register at the time of writing.

For Pakistani residents this is not an unusual arrangement. Retail forex and CFD trading is not criminalised here, but there is no local licensing either: SECP does not issue local retail forex/CFD broker licences and SBP does not allow margin-based currency trading inside Pakistan. Residents trade through brokers regulated abroad, which is legal where the money moves through legitimate banking channels. Using Hawala or Hundi, or platforms that bypass the banking system, is a separate and illegal matter.

GOOD TO KNOW
Vanuatu supervision is not the same tier as FCA, CySEC or ASIC supervision. It does not mean the broker is fake. It means your recourse is thinner, and you should price that in.

The broker is a member of the Financial Commission (FinaCom). That is a dispute-resolution scheme, not supervision. Compensation through FinaCom is capped at EUR 20,000 per claim, and there is no local investor compensation scheme covering Pakistani clients.

How Fixed Time Actually Works

You pick an instrument, you pick a direction, you pick a duration, and you commit an amount. When the timer expires, the contract settles one way or the other. There is no partial close, no trailing stop, and no second chance within that contract.

The durations are the defining feature. Five seconds to a month is a very wide range, and it changes the character of the trade completely. A five-second contract is a coin-flip on micro-movement. A one-month contract is closer to holding a directional view. Most people start too short, because short feels like less exposure. It is not less exposure. It is more noise.

Olymptrade offers Fixed Time alongside Flex, Forex, Stocks (described as commission-free blue chips), InZone range trading and AI Trading. Fixed Time is the mode with the hardest edges, so it rewards patience more than any of the others.

Accounts are available in currency and crypto, and a swap-free Islamic account is offered. Whether a Pakistani-local-currency base account exists is not verified at review.

What Fixed Time Costs

Trade sizes start at USD 1 in Fixed Time mode. That is the entire verified cost picture - spreads and commissions are not verified at review.

ItemVerified detail
Minimum Fixed Time trade sizeUSD 1
Minimum depositUSD/EUR 10
Minimum withdrawalUSD/EUR 10
Duration range5 seconds to 1 month
Swap-free Islamic accountOffered
Withdrawal processing timeNot verified at review

The USD 1 entry point is genuinely low, and that cuts both ways. On one hand it lets a beginner learn the mechanic without risking grocery money. On the other, low minimums are what make rapid over-trading easy. Ten one-dollar trades feel harmless. Two hundred of them in an evening is a different story, and the mode's short durations make that pace unusually easy to reach.

TIP
Treat the USD 1 minimum as a learning tool, not a strategy size. Contract frequency, not contract size, is the real cost driver in Fixed Time.

Fixed Time And Islamic Accounts

Pakistan is a Muslim-majority market, and this comes up immediately in practice. A swap-free Islamic account is offered here, with no interest rates, swap charges or riba, presented by the broker as halal trading.

Most brokers serving Pakistan offer this as standard, and it matters for Fixed Time specifically because there is no overnight holding to begin with. If your contracts run seconds to hours, swap is rarely the issue. The Islamic account still matters if you also use the platform's Forex or Stocks modes, where positions can sit open for days.

Platform Access For Pakistan

Olymptrade runs on a proprietary platform rather than MT4, MT5 or cTrader, available on:

  • Web browser
  • Desktop for Windows and macOS
  • Android via the store and direct APK
  • iOS
  • A PWA web app

The direct APK route is worth flagging for Pakistani users. It is convenient when store access is restricted, but it also means the install bypasses store review. Download it from the broker's own domain only, never from a forwarded link or a Telegram group file.

What Could Not Be Verified For Pakistan

Checked on 2026-10-05 from a residential exit inside Pakistan, the broker's public pages - withdrawals, FAQ, regulation - are served identically in Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil and Morocco, byte for byte the same length in all four. None of them lists deposit or withdrawal methods for Pakistan. The method list sits behind login, so the methods actually offered to Pakistani clients are not verified at review.

That matters because funding is where Pakistani traders most often hit friction. Locally, brokers typically use bank transfer plus mobile wallets Easypaisa and JazzCash, and e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller. Some residents route through USDT P2P. Whether Olymptrade supports any of these is unknown until you are inside the account.

Then there is the currency layer. Base-currency accounts are typically USD, rarely PKR, so a PKR-to-USD conversion cost applies. USD/PKR is rarely offered as a tradable pair. And SBP enforces active exchange controls: card-based transactions are reported capped around USD 30,000 per year, individuals and sole proprietors often around USD 10,000 per year for outward remittances, with remittances above prescribed limits requiring SBP FEOD approval through banks' FX Portal. Figures are as of the review - verify with SBP.

WARNING
Funding through anything other than a documented banking channel, including Hawala or Hundi, is illegal in Pakistan regardless of which broker you use. This is not a broker risk. It is a legal one.

When The Fixed Time Format Fits

Fixed Time is a bad fit for anyone who thinks in terms of managing a position. There is nothing to manage. Once the contract is placed, your only decisions are size and duration, and both are made before you know anything new. If your instinct after a loss is to recover it in the next five-minute window, this format will multiply that instinct rather than test it.

It is a better fit for traders who can pre-commit. If you can decide a direction, write down the amount you are willing to lose on that single view, set a duration that matches the timeframe your view actually applies to, and then walk away, the format removes the most common self-inflicted error in trading: interfering with a live position.

The other thing to weigh: with USD 1 sizes and no commission data published, Fixed Time pricing is opaque. You are not comparing a 0.8-pip spread against a 1.2-pip spread here. You are trusting the payout percentage shown on the contract ticket. That is fine as long as you check it per contract instead of assuming it is constant.

Tax And Reporting Reality

Forex and derivatives trading profit for residents is generally taxed as income, and where treated as capital gains on movable assets other than exchange-traded securities, it is taxable at the individual's normal slab rates as of the review. Listed-securities gains and foreign shares and funds carry their own rates, with foreign shares and mutual funds around a 15% flat rate per PwC. Crypto gains carry a flat 15% CGT as of the review.

Residents are taxed on worldwide income, and a Foreign Income and Assets Statement is required if foreign income exceeds USD 10,000 or foreign assets exceed USD 100,000 in the tax year. Every contract you settle on an offshore platform is part of that picture. Tax authority is the Federal Board of Revenue - verify with FBR.

GOOD TO KNOW
Keep your own trade history and deposit records from day one, because reconstructing a year of short-duration contracts later is close to impossible.

Choosing Between Platforms Here

Fixed Time sits inside a wider category, and a few things separate one offshore broker from another for a Pakistani resident.

What to checkWhy it matters here
Top-tier regulation (FCA, CySEC, ASIC)Stronger supervision and real complaint escalation
Client fund segregationYour money held apart from company operating cash
Published commission and payout dataYou can verify the price instead of trusting a screen
Long operating track recordSurvives cycles; easier to check ownership history
Working local payment railsFewer failed withdrawals and conversion surprises
Live human support in your regionDisputes get resolved, not queued

Ownership and corporate structure sit at the top of that list, because that is where the failures start. Before funding any account, find out which legal entity holds your money, where that entity is registered, and which regulator supervises it. If a broker cannot answer that in writing, that is your answer.

Short-term views under Vanuatu rules

Right for you if: you want to trade short-term directional views on a platform regulated by Vanuatu, you are comfortable that the supervision is offshore and the FinaCom compensation cap is EUR 20,000, and you treat the USD 1 minimum as tuition money while you learn the mechanic. You should be the type who sets a duration and then leaves the screen alone.

Not for you if: you need top-tier supervision with a real compensation scheme behind it, or you intend to move amounts where SBP's outward remittance limits and FEOD approval become a factor. If your money for this comes from savings you cannot afford to lose, or if a fixed-percentage payout structure does not match how you think about risk, look at a broker regulated by FCA, CySEC or ASIC and compare the payout transparency side by side. The category is the same. The protection is not.

FAQ

How long can a Fixed Time contract last on Olymptrade?
Durations run from five seconds up to a month. The short end is far more sensitive to random movement than most beginners expect, so a duration that matches the timeframe your view actually applies to is usually the better starting point.
What is the smallest Fixed Time trade I can place?
Trade sizes start at USD 1 in Fixed Time mode, and the minimum deposit is USD/EUR 10 - the same figure as the minimum withdrawal. Spreads and commissions are not verified at review, so check the payout shown on each contract ticket rather than assuming a fixed rate.
Does Olymptrade have a licence in Pakistan?
No SECP licence is claimed by the broker, and the SECP register itself is not verified at review. Olymptrade states it is licensed and regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, and is a FinaCom member with compensation capped at EUR 20,000 per claim.
